Noven is an Australian educational publishing brand focused on creating practical, high-quality learning resources for dental assistants, trainees, and clinics.
Our goal is to produce resources that feel clear, useful, and professionally made — bridging the gap between formal study and the realities of working in a dental clinic. Every Noven publication is designed with the reader in mind, with a focus on clarity, structure, and practical value.
Noven began with The Dental Assistant’s Handbook, a resource created to support new and developing dental assistants with approachable explanations, clinical context, and information that can be referred back to throughout training and early practice.
As Noven grows, the focus remains simple: to create thoughtful educational materials that help people feel more prepared, more confident, and better supported in their work.
About the Founder
Noven was founded by Jackson Gardner-Dyer, a dental assistant based in Victoria, Australia.
Jackson holds qualifications in dental assisting, including HLT35015 Certificate III in Dental Assisting and HLT45021 Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Dental Radiography). His background in clinical practice has shaped the way Noven resources are developed, with a focus on clarity, structure, and information that reflects the real expectations of working in a dental environment.
After seeing how much dental assistants are expected to learn both during study and on the job, Jackson recognised the need for a resource that explained dental assisting in a practical, approachable, and realistic way. This led to the creation of The Dental Assistant’s Handbook — a publication designed not only to teach, but to support students, trainees, and early-career dental assistants as they build confidence in their role.
Through Noven, Jackson aims to create learning resources that combine professional presentation with practical value, helping dental assistants feel more prepared, capable, and supported in clinical practice.
